FotoRebozos is a visual exploration that intertwines portraiture, photography, and traditional weaving to reflect on Mexican identity. Through portraits manipulated both digitally and manually—in positive, negative, and multiple densities—I create symmetrical compositions that evoke the rebozo: a garment linked to history, femininity, and Indigenous cosmovision. Like a loom, the image is interwoven in lines of light, shadow, and color, transformed into an object through cuts and folds. The rebozo emerges here as a symbol of protection, memory, and resistance. In the face of digital hegemony, this work reclaims the handmade as an intimate and resistant gesture.
