The Nocturne Series
Inspired by a series of paintings by James McNeil Whistler, II am seeking to push the boundaries of the photographic medium through innovations at the intersection of photographic processes. These images represent a throughline from the first photographs to the present moment of proliferating digital images. The series is about mirroring, layering—a kind of painting with points and pixels. I collapse and layer modes of production imbued with time and transience.
